Explore General Henry Knox's headquarters, then continue to the New Windsor Cantonment, the final encampment of the Continental Army. Expert-led tours at both sites will bring the story of America's fight for independence to life.
β¨ Admission and guided tours are completely FREE!
π₯ͺ There will be a lunch break between sites. Participants may bring their own lunch or dine locally.
π Please note: Participants must provide their own transportation between locations.

π¬πΊ Movies on the Lawn: The Garfield Movie πΊπ¬
All ages (8 to adult) and skill levels are welcome. Children ages 6 & 7 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult helper. Please register.
Learn a new hobby, get help with tricky folds, or just hang out and fold with other origami fans! Paper will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own paper and a box to transport finished models.

Join Susan and Diane this summer to prepare for a confident and successful kindergarten year! Each week we will focus on adifferent important competencies such as following directions, fine motor skills, and positive social and emotional behavior. We will reinforce academic foundations: letters, colors, numbers and shapes with games and activities and we will share stories, books and fun.
To get the most out of this program we encourage participants to attend all 4 sessions independently. Parents and caregivers are asked to wait in the library. Family members are invited to attend our graduation ceremony on August 3.
This program is possible with funds provided by NYS Senator James Skoufis.
Registration is required.
Open to Monroe Free Library card holders starting Kindergarten September 2026 in the Monroe Woodbury School District. Register for week one and you are registered for all four weeks. Due to the nature of the program, we can not take new registrants week two, three or four. Thank you.

Families with babies, toddlers and preschoolers can join our circle for songs, stories, dancing and fun. Caregiver participation is critical for success in this lively celebration of early literacy skills. Please register as space is limited. This program will be in the program room in the children's area.
