Canasta is a popular card game of the Rummy family, typically played with four players in two partnerships using two decks of cards. The objective is to score points by melding cards of the same rank, with a "canasta" being a meld of at least seven cards. Wild cards, such as jokers and twos, can be used to help form these melds.Â
It's midterm season at Monroe-Woodbury. Our study room (Room B) is available all afternoon for teenagers in our community preparing for their exams. Bring your textbooks, notes, and chromebook for some serious work time in our quiet space. Or, invite friends for a collaborative group session using our whiteboards and dry-erase markers.
When you need a break, visit our programming room (behind the Children's Desk). We'll have fidget toys, breathing exercises, snacks, and a calming space for you to relax and refresh. Stop by for pizza at 6:00 PM.
Please register in advance so we know how much pizza to order!
