They made a silent version of the Wizard of Oz! Yes, and we here at the Monroe Free Library will be showing it as part of our Summer of Oz. Come see Larry Semon, Bryant Washburn, Dorothy Dwan and Oliver Hardy (of Laurel and Hardy Fame) In one of the earliest renditions of L. Frank Baum's Work.
