Okay, this year I promised I was going to stay composed and not start gardening until the "acceptable" Mother's Day holiday had passed. Then March happened. A 90-something degree stretch made me itchy so I poked and prodded around but managed to remain in control - almost... I stuck in some more lily of the valley bulbs - which are now doing something - not quite like the already established group that I have - more like their attempting to grow. I guess I'll just be patient and wait (yeah right).

This Mother's Day my family let me sleep in (always a treat). When I did wander into the kitchen, looking for coffee, there were fresh flowers on the table and whole wheat- banana -walnut- pancakes in the making! They were delicious, yummy, amazing, the best treat ever! Here is the recipe, from our new favorite blogger Joy the Baker
Happy National Scrapbook Day!
You may not find NSD on every calendar; it's an important day to those who love to tell a story about the photos they want to preserve by adding journaling and meaningful embellishments on their album pages. It's not too late to participate, the whole month of May is devoted to scrapbooking. Visit a local store for supplies, grab a friend or two for coffee and make something memorable.
